In all honesty when I arrived at Cage Wars in Atlantic City I had not planned to photograph Brendan and initially did so mostly because of who he had in his corner.  Photographing fighters in a way less common than others is essential to this project.  So when I saw an opportunity to photograph Jones, not training and not fighting, but cornering and showing support for a team mate of his own, I of course took advantage.  Brendan however proved to be an exciting fighter to capture as he warmed up and of course as he fought and won.  Both were incredibly accommodating, even without knowing me or the project.  When apologizing after for the possibility of distracting them, Jon was remarkably warm and understanding.  And after seeing the results, Brendan has shown excitement at the possibility of being part of this project more in the future, which I hope to make happen.
